Icons of Mary and Christian Contemplation
We will journey prayerfully on pilgrimage with Sister Wendy Beckett looking at the eight earliest icons of Mary before the destructive age of iconoclasm in the 8th century. These simple ancient icons ‘shock us out of our complacency, to make us look anew....’. Along with their beauty and through prayer we can enter into these early images that can lead us to an ‘encounter with God.’
