The Flowering of Mysticism in the 12th and 13th Centuries
Our morning together will explore the great schools of mystical theology that developed in Europe with the first Universities. We shall concentrate on how the mysterious text of Dionysius the Areopagite was appropriated by the Victorines and led to the great schools of late medieval mystical thought.
